Doha: Algerian footballer Yassin Ebrahimi made a powerful statement of solidarity with the Palestinian people during a Qatari league match.
A video of Ebrahimi's act went viral on social media.
In the video, following a successful goal, Ebrahimi retrieved the Palestinian flag from fans seated near the boundary of the field and proudly waved it in the air.
The fans in the stadium joined in, expressing their joy at the gesture of support.
