PTCL stated that customers will have to pay 50 rupees extra per month for the paper bill, however the e-bill will be provided to them free of charge.


Karachi: Due to PTCL's unique initiative, telephone users will have to bear more financial burden to get their paper bills.
According to the PTCL spokesperson, this decision has been taken for a paper-friendly environment, under which PTCL has decided to charge its customers Rs50 per month for paper bills from January 1, 2024.
PTCL stated that customers will have to pay 50 rupees extra per month for the paper bill, however the e-bill will be provided to them free of charge.
It will be the first time that customers will have to pay money to get their bill, which will put an additional financial burden of millions of rupees on people and increase the income of PTCL by millions of rupees. PTCL is informing the customers in this regard through mobile phone messages.
Talking to private news organization, the PTCL spokesperson added that this decision has been taken for a paper-friendly environment and it will be implemented in all major cities of the country from January 1. However, paper bills will be provided free of charge in remote areas and small towns of the country.
