This is the first time in US history that a court has disqualified a presidential candidate under the 1868 clause.


Washington: A new history was made in the political history of United States and the court of the state of Colorado declared the former US President Donald Trump unfit for election.
The court declared that Trump is not eligible to be a candidate because of his involvement in the attack on Capitol Hill and the court decision will apply only to Colorado.
The Supreme Court of the US state of Colorado declared Donald Trump ineligible to run in the primary for the presidential election which will be held on March 5, 2024.

Donald Trump's spokesman called the decision 'undemocratic' and announced that he would appeal against the decision to the US Supreme Court.
