PTI has requested to set aside the decision of the Peshawar High Court and allot the election symbol of bat.

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Thursday approached the Supreme Court against the decision of Peshawar High Court (PHC) to obtain the ‘bat’ election symbol.
According to the details, PTI has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the PHC in which it took the position that the application of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was not admissible and it cannot be a party in this matter.
The petition stated that unlike other political parties, PTI is being discriminated. The Election Commission did not take into account the evidence while withdrawing the election symbol of the bat, while the PHC judge misinterpreted the law that caused injustice.
PTI's petition stated that the interim relief was granted on December 26, 2023. It is not necessary to give notice to the parties before the interim relief. It is granted on the basis of apprehension of irreparable damage. We told the Peshawar High Court that the failure in obtaining the bat symbol will result in irreparable loss.
In its petition, PTI has requested to set aside the decision of the Peshawar High Court and allot the election symbol of bat.
