Police get two-day physical remand of PTI founder in May 9 cases
The court has directed the investigation officers to submit report before it January 11 in the 12 cases related to May 9 incidents.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan on Tuesday was granted a two-day physical remand in 12 cases related to the incident on May 9.
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Malik Ijaz Asif passed the order.
The police sought 30 days physical remand of the PTI chief but the legal team of Imran Khan opposed their plea.
The court, after hearing arguments of both sides, granted two-day physical remand of Imran Khan in the said case.
Imran Khan will remain in Adiala Jail during this period while the investigation teams of all the police stations could investigate him there. The court directed the IOs to submit the report on January 11.
Earlier today, an accountability court indicted Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in Thoshakhana case.
