DC Islamabad's authority has been temporarily restored following the appeal for injunction.


Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday temporarily restored the authority of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad to issue Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
According to the details, a two-member bench consisting of Chief Justice IHC Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood issued notices to the parties on the appeal filed by the Chief Commissioner and others against the decision of the single bench.
DC Islamabad's authority has been temporarily restored following the appeal for injunction.
Justice Babar Sattar had declared the authority of DC Islamabad to issue MPO as illegal. After which the Chief Commissioner, Interior Secretary and others had filed an intra-court appeal against the single bench decision.
