Islamabad: During the first six months of the current financial year, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of $433.5 million was made in Pakistan's energy sector.
According to the data released by the Board of Investment, during the first six months of the financial year 2023-24, foreign direct investment in the energy sector in the country was recorded at 433.5 million dollars.
The report stated that a total foreign direct investment of 3037.5 million dollars was recorded in the energy sector during the last four years.
According to the data, during the financial year 2019-20 in the energy sector 756.6 million dollars, during the financial year 2020-21, 911.7 million dollars, during the financial year 2021-22, 737.6 million dollars and in 2022-23 FDI was recorded at 622.6 million dollars.
