The Lahore High Court issued a written decision containing three points in this regard.
Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday dismissed contempt petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja against the Returning Officer (RO) of NA-128.
Salman Akram Raja's contempt petition against Returning Officer NA-128 has been dismissed as inadmissible.
The Lahore High Court issued a written decision containing three points in this regard. The case was heard by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi.
It was contended in the petition that the Returning Officer had assured that a notice would be issued to the candidate before preparation of Form-48, however no notice was issued.
In his petition, Salman Akram Raja requested the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the returning officer.
The petitioner said that the Returning Officer should be punished according to law.
