PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur has been elected by scoring 90 votes.


Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur has been elected the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by obtaining 90 votes.
According to the details, the voting for the election of the new Chief Minister in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are held today.
PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur faced Dr. Ibadullah Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The opponent leader managed to get only 16 votes.
It is pertinent to note that Babar Saleem Swati of the PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) was elected as the new speaker of the provincial assembly and Suraiya Bibi as the deputy speaker.
Notably, Ali Amin joined politics using the platform of PTI in 2007. In 2013, he was elected as the member of provincial assembly in Dera Ismail Khan. Ali Amin Gandapur was again elected as the member of provincial assembly in 2018.
