Appeal to postpone PTI intra-party election submitted to ECP
The petitioner requested that the PTI intra-party election schedule be postponed until the ECP decides on his objections.
Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been appealed to postpone the intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek=-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the details, an application has been filed in the Election Commission to postpone the PTI intra-party election.
Petitioner Naveed Anjum Khan took the stand that he submitted nomination papers for chairmanship as PTI worker which were rejected by PTI election board raising different objections.
‘PTI constitution allows me to participate in intra party election as chairman,’ he added.
The petitioner requested that the PTI intra-party election schedule be postponed until the Election Commission decides on his objections. As a PTI worker, he requested the Election Commission to hear his appeal.
It is pertinent to note that intra-party elections of PTI are going to be held on March 3.
