According to the FBR statement, the digitization agreement will lead to a sustainable increase in revenue.
Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ‘Karandaaz Pakistan’ to digitize the tax system in Pakistan.
On the occasion of signing the memorandum, Chairman FBR Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana said that FBR is paying full attention to automating its system and digitizing the economy.
He stated that efforts are on to tackle the challenge of undocumented economy, concerted efforts are being made to broaden the tax base.
Amjad Zubair Tiwana added that Karandaaz Pakistan will support the FBR in digitizing the tax system, which will help reduce taxpayers' costs and the agreement will help digitize the economy and widen the tax net.
