Babar Awan to be PM's nominee for Senate chairman slot: Dr Shahid Masood
Lahore: As per Prime Minister House, Adviser to the PM for parliamentary affairs Dr Babar Awan would surface as government's candidate for the slot of Senate chairman.
While giving details Dr Shahid Masood in GNN programme 'Live with Dr Shahid Masood' said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would name Babar Awan as his candidate for the Chairman Senate in upcoming elections.

Mr Awan being a seasoned politician now wishes to hold the Senate chairmanship. Earlier he had also kept many important portfolios.
Giving an insider, senior analyst said that Dr Awan's nomination is being criticised in inner circles of PTI and most of the members are of the view that the Senate chairmanship should be given to an old party member. Earlier the name of party's Central Vice President Umar Cheema also appeared but his lobbying is not strong indoor.
