Epicenter of earthquake was in China


Tibet: A 7.1-magnitude earthquake has struck Tibet, causing several buildings to collapse, killing 53 people and injuring 38.
According to international media reports, severe tremors were felt in Tibet, Nepal, Kathmandu, and the north and northeast of India this morning.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was in China, but buildings shook in Kathmandu, located more than 200 kilometers away. Officials say they are assessing the damage. The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 7.1.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, its magnitude was recorded in China at 6.8, with a depth of 10 kilometers, while the epicenter was in Tingri County, Tibet. The earthquake struck at 9:05am according to China's local time. Several aftershocks were also recorded after the Tibet earthquake.
According to the Chinese news agency, there are reports of deaths and injuries to civilians due to the collapse of houses in a village in Tingri County, Tibet.
On the other hand, the magnitude of the earthquake that struck the Indian state of Bihar was 5.1.
According to Indian local time, the earthquake occurred at 6:40am, with the intensity of which the buildings shook for five to six seconds. However, there are no reports of any loss of life or property at present.
