Azadi March case: Decision reserved on acquittal plea of Imran, Shah, Rashid
Pervez Khattak, Asad Qaiser, Asad Umar, Ali Amin Gandapur are also included in the list of co-accused.


Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad reserved the verdict on the acquittal plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and other accused in the cases filed on the Haqeeqi Azadi March.
District and Sessions Courts Islamabad Judicial Magistrate Malik Imran reserved the decision on the plea of acquittal.
Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid appeared before the court and filed an acquittal petition, co-accused Ali Nawaz Awan and Sadaqat Abbasi also appeared before the court.
PTI lawyers Sardar Masroof Advocate, Amna Ali, Rizwan Akhtar Awan and Mirza Asim Advocate appeared before the court.
Sardar Masroof Advocate told the court that an acquittal petition was filed in February last year, we want to present arguments today on the acquittal petition in this case.
Judge Malik Imran remarked that the challans of Sadaqat Abbasi, Ali Nawaz Awan and Sheikh Rashid have come to the court.
Sardar Masroof stated that this First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under section 144, there is no evidence or CCTV footage in this case, the case was not registered by the concerned person.
Pervez Khattak, Asad Qaiser, Asad Umar, Ali Amin Gandapur are also included in the list of co-accused.
The court reserved its decision on the plea of acquittal of founder PTI, Sheikh Rashod and other accused.
It should be noted that a case has been registered against the accused in I-9 police station related to Azadi March.
