According to the report of reliable intelligence agencies, the first target of terrorists is Rawalpindi. The military installations including important personalities in Rawalpindi are also targeted by terrorists.
The report of the Ministry of Interior stated that this terrorism is a plan of the agencies of hostile countries and banned groups, elements hostile to Pakistan want to spread political chaos and anarchy in the country, the life and protection of every citizen, including Imran Khan, is the responsibility of the state.
According to the Ministry of Interior, security, safety and law and order is a provincial matter, concrete measures are being taken in this regard. The request only for the safety of Imran Khan should be rejected.
It is pertinent to note that on March 21, the SHC had issued notices to the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Law Officer on the petition regarding the security of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.
Petitioner Abdul Wahab Baloch took the stand that he is the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) legal wing, Insaf Lawyers Forum Sindh.
He had said that the founder of the party was involved in cases on political grounds and he is currently incarcerated in Central Jail Rawalpindi (Adiala Jail).
Declaring the federal government as the defendant through the Ministry of Interior, he stated that the prison authorities had banned the meetings with the former prime minister on the pretext that there were serious threats to his life and some terrorist had been given explosives who was arrested from around the jail.
The petitioner also argued that under the Constitution, the Federation is responsible for ensuring the protection of all citizens of Pakistan, including the detained PTI founder.
