Sindh's concerns over water distribution not addressed, says Nasir Hussain
Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Sindh's concerns over water distribution have not been addressed.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Nasir Hussain Shah said that the problem of water scarcity in the province has become serious and if agriculture in the province is affected, it will also affect the country's economy.
He further said that Sindh's objections to water distribution were not addressed and even now the province was facing a 35% water shortage.
He said that the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Chairman announcement of equal distribution of water was just an announcement, not every action could be taken.
Nasir Shah said that as per the order of the Sindh High Court, 6 hydrants are being run in Karachi while the work of the Sindh government for the water project in Karachi is complete.
