May 9 rally case: Gohar, Omar, others granted interim bail
The court granted interim bail to the PTI leaders on a bond of Rs5,000 each and issued notices to the parties.
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad granted interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and leaders Omar Ayub and Amir Mughal.
According to the details, Judicial Magistrate Arshad Mahmood Jasra heard the pre-arrest bail application in the case filed against the local leadership of PTI for holding a protest rally on May 9.
Barrister Gohar, Shoaib Shaheen and Amir Mughal appeared in court along with lawyers.
Later, the court granted interim bail to the PTI leaders on a bond of Rs5,000 each and issued notices to the parties.
At the same time, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 21 and called for arguments.
It is pertinent to note that on the occasion of May 9, PTI held rallies in different cities. They took out a rally in G-9 center of the federal capital Islamabad, where PTI and the police had a face-to-face.
On this occasion, the police tried to arrest the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf, Barrister Gohar, but PTI workers failed the attempt of police.
Notably, earlier the police had arrested PTI leader Usman Dar's mother Rehana Dar in Sialkot.
