More than 2,000 patients were reported in six major government hospitals of the city on the first day


Lahore: Lahoreites did not stop from overeating and hundreds of gastro and diarrhea patients were reported on the first day of Eid-ul-Adha.
The number of patients with stomach infection and diarrhea increased in the emergency of Lahore hospitals. More than 2,000 patients were reported in six major government hospitals of the city on the first day.
Over 180 patients came to Mayo Hospital with gastro, diarrhea and abdominal pain. More than 130 to Jinnah Hospital, more than 100 patients to General and Services Hospital. While, Gangaram and Mian Munshi Hospital also reported patients.
Hundreds of patients also took self-medication at medical stores in the city.
The medical experts say that eating too much on Eid al-Adha causes gastrointestinal diseases, and stomach and liver patients are more affected by eating meat. Sick people should not eat more than 100 grams of meat, use more yogurt, lemon and water.
