Netanyahu's 12-year long rule ends, Israel parliament confirms coalition
Israel's parliament on Sunday has voted for a eight-party coalition, replacing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after 12 years as premier.
Israeli parliamentarians on Sunday passed a vote of confidence for a coalition government, ending Benjamin Netanyahu's hold on power.
The coalition is comprised of ideological rivals, united by their will to oust Israel's longest-serving leader.
They won a majority of 60 to 59 in the 120-seat house.
After a successful vote of confidence, Naftali Bennettwas sworn in as country's new Prime Minister, replacing his former ally Netanyahu.
