Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed has said that the entire country is progressing except Sindh.
While hearing a case regarding removal of illegal encroachments in Karachi, CJP expressed anger over the performance of Sindh government and said that people in Tharparkar are desperate for a drop of water.
“So far Rs. 1500 million has been spent and not even a single RO (Reverse Osmosis) plant was installed. What plan does the government have?” he said.
CJP said that there is no government in Sindh and people from London, Dubai or Canada are ruling this province.
“Your government has been in power here for many years and nothing has been done. Those who are unable to manage the system of drains will run the entire province?” Chief Justice Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed asked the Advocate General to which the top law officer requested the top court to give two days’ time saying the provincial government is going to unveil budget tomorrow.
“The budget was presented last year too but what did people get?” CJP said.
