He claims in petition that the evidence against him is weak

Lahore: PTI founder Imran Khan applied for bail from an anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Tuesday in cases related to May 9 riots.
Imprisoned Imran Khan, was arrested again on July 15. This was just a day after he and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were arrested in a new Toshakhana case, following their release in another case.
On Tuesday, through his lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar, Imran requested post-arrest bail. The petition argues that the charges against him are politically motivated and without merit.
The main accusation is that Imran incited his supporters to violence while he was already in custody and unable to communicate with others. The petition points out that similar cases against him have resulted in bail being granted by other courts.
The petition also claims that the evidence against Imran is weak and gathered from social media after the fact. It notes that many co-accused have already been granted bail and that further investigation is needed into Imran's alleged guilt.
The petition concludes that Imran's continued detention is illegal and unjustified, suggesting he is being targeted by his political opponents.
