Karachi: The Sindh government has announced that school students will not be given summer vacations in the ongoing calendar year. The decision was taken at a meeting of the steering committee.

The committee, however, has decided to review the decision in case temperatures rise in days to come.
On the other hand, the provincial education department has notified that the exams for grade 10 will be held on July 5 and grade 12 on July 26. The exams for grade 9 and 11 will be conducted afterwards.
The Sindh government had reopened schools after a decline in coronavirus cases last week. Students from grade 6-8 have been already joining classes with 50 per cent attendance since last week.
The government has already announced to open schools throughout the province from June 21.
