WhatsApp to introduce Augmented Reality feature for users
Purpose of the updated feature is to introduce some more interactive features
WhatsApp on Monday decided to enhance the video call experience with features based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology.
The purpose of this update is to introduce some more interactive features.
According to the WABeta Info reports, the augmented reality call effects and filters have been added to the new beta version of WhatsApp for iOS devices. The report further stated that the IOS users are now being given access to this AR features.
One of these features is a dynamic facial filter that users can use to show off their different personalities during video calls. There is also a background editing tool that can be used to blur the surroundings or replace them with pre-available background.
The low light feature has also has been introduced which will enhance the quality of video where there is a poor light. A touch-up mode tool is also part of Meta's messaging app that will enhance the user's personality during video calls.
WhatsApp will automatically save the changes made to all these settings and won’t require any amendment on every call. As hinted above, these features are just only a part of the beta version, so it may take some time to roll them out to all users.
