Court dismissed the revision petitions while upholding the decision to remove Monal Restaurant, La Montala, Gloria Jeans and others

Islamabad: The Supreme Court upheld the decision to remove Monal and other restaurants located in the National Park area and dismissed the review petitions.
The decision of the Supreme Court on the review petitions related to the commercial activities in the National Park area was pronounced.
The court dismissed the revision petitions while upholding the decision to remove Monal Restaurant, La Montala, Gloria Jeans and other restaurants.
The Supreme Court withdrew the observations given in favor of the restaurants established in the National Park area, while the court also withdrew the objections to give preference to other restaurants, including Monal, at the time of lease at another location.
The judgment said that Monal and other restaurants had voluntarily given an assurance to close the restaurants in three months, so filing the revision despite the assurance is a joke with the court. Filing revision after assurance of termination is contempt.
The Supreme Court asked the CDA to lease these restaurants in other areas on a priority basis. The court said that the restaurants in the National Park area should be given priority in the lease of restaurants elsewhere.
It was clarified in the judgment that the Supreme Court deletes its decision of priority in the process of lease, therefore the decision of the Supreme Court should be followed.
Notably, on June 11, the Supreme Court ordered the relocation of restaurants within three months from the National Park area, including Monal, located on the beautiful hills of Margalla.
