Case includes serious provisions including attempted murder, anti-terrorism act, arson, attack on the state and violence against police personnel


Islamabad: A case of attempted murder and terrorism has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and others.
According to the government, a case has been registered in police station Noon, in which 500 unknown persons including Imran Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Azam Swati, Omar Ayub, Barrister Saif, President PTI Islamabad Aamir Mughal and Hafeez-ur-Rehman Tipu have also been named.
The case includes serious provisions including attempted murder, anti-terrorism act, arson, attack on the state and violence against police personnel.
In the text of the case, it is said that more than 500 protestors tortured the policemen instructed by Khan and Gandapur. Police constable Abdul Hameed was kidnapped and tortured and the protestors attacked the policemen with batons, stones and iron rods.
According to the lawsuit, the protesters tore the uniforms of the policemen, fired at them, shelled tear gas and injured them, while the protesters burnt government and public property, raised slogans against the government and the state.
It is pertinent to note that during the protest of PTI, Islamabad police official Abdul Hameed was subjected to severe torture, due to which he was treated in the hospital for a day and died.
