Ratan Tata was a prominent figure in India's industrial sector


Mumbai: Renowned Indian industrialist and businessman Ratan Tata passed away at 86.
Earlier, a foreign news agency reported that Ratan Tata had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (UCI) of a hospital.
86-year-old Ratan Tata was admitted to the hospital on Monday and said at that time that various tests had to be done at the hospital due to his advancing age and related medical problems.
On the death of Ratan Tata, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on social media platform X that Ratan Tata was a visionary businessman and an extraordinary human being. He provided steady leadership to one of India's oldest and most well-known business enterprises.
Ratan Tata was a prominent figure in India's industrial sector, becoming the chairman of the Tata Group in 1991 and holding the position until 2012.
During this time, he expanded the Tata Group and started business in other fields as well. Under his leadership, Tata Motors also introduced a car that was called the cheapest car in the world.
After stepping down as chairman of the Tata Group in 2012, he was made chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, Tata Industries, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and Tata Chemicals.
