The index increased by 244 points


Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) hit a new high at the start of business on Thursday.
PSX opened on a positive note on Thursday and the 100 Index saw gains.
The index increased by 244 points at the opening of the business and reached the highest level of 87,553 points.
The index added another 823 points during trading and crossed the 88,000 level.
It is pertinent to note that business has been booming in the stock exchange for several days and the 100 Index is setting new records.
Yesterday, PSX saw a boom, and the 100 Index closed at the highest level of 87,194 points with an increase of 727 points making a new history.
On Wednesday, the deals of Rs690 million shares were settled at Rs26 billion while the market capitalization increased by Rs66 billion to Rs11,418 billion.
