Pak Army eliminates 9 foreign terrorists in Bajur
Operation was carried out on the night of October 23-24
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army has eliminated at least nine foreign militants, including two suicide bombers during a successful operation in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistan military’s media cell, Inter Services Public Relations on Thursday stated that the operation was carried out on the night of October 23-24, was based on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists.
It stated that among the dead was a high-value target, foreign ring leader Syed Muhammad alias Qureshi Ustad, a key figure involved in several terrorist acts against security forces and civilians. The operation targeted Khawarij militants, with significant arms, ammunition, and explosives recovered from the scene.
The operation, part of the ongoing efforts to root out terrorism, highlights the military's unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorist elements within the country. A clearance operation is currently underway to ensure the complete removal of any remaining threats in the area.
The successful operation underscores the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to maintaining peace and stability across the region, and further dismantling terrorist networks.
