Naeem Qasim appointed new Hezbollah chief
Naeem Qasim was Hassan Nasrullah's deputy for a long time
Beirut: Hezbollah has appointed Naeem Qasim as the new head of the party.
A month after the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrullah, the Lebanese resistance organization Hezbollah has elected Naeem Qasim as its official leader.
Naeem Qasim was Hassan Nasrullah's deputy for a long time and after Nasrallah's martyrdom, he was appointed acting head of the organization, while he had previously been a member of the Hezbollah Shura Committee three times in a row.
After the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrullah, there was a strong possibility that his cousin and son-in-law Hashim Safiuddin to be elected as the head of Hezbollah, but Safiuddin was also martyred in an Israeli attack a few days ago.
It is pertinent to note that Hassan Nasrullah, who was the Secretary-General and head of Hezbollah for a long time, was martyred in an Israeli attack last month.
