Mitsubishi close to finalizing FID to build LNG Terminal in Qasim port: Ali Zaidi
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Haider Zaidi stated Tuesday that Tabeer Energy is close to finalizing their FID to set up the 4th LNG Terminal in Qasim Port.

On his official twitter handle, the Minister, quoting a news story from Bloomberg wrote, “After Energas, Tabeer Energy (Mitsubishi) also close to finalizing their FID to set up the 4th LNG Terminal in Qasim Port”.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Energas decided to start nation’s largest liquefied natural gas import terminal in to help meet soaring demand once it gets the green light to build the project.
Reportedly, Energas which is a consortium of large domestic users, aims to begin construction of the $140 million to $160 million facility in 2022.
The project is being supported by Exxon Mobil Corp.
