PTI founder, other accused acquitted in Section 144 violation case
Court acquitted PTI founder, Asad Qaiser, Saifullah Niazi, Sheikh Rashid, Sadaqat Abbasi, Faisal Javed, and Ali Nawaz from the case
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad Wednesday acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, former Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser, former federal minister Sheikh Rashid, PTI leader Saifullah Niazi, and other accused in a case registered under Section 144 and violation of the Amplifier Act, among other provisions.
The case registered under Section 144, violation of the Amplifier Act and other provisions was heard in the District Sessions Court of Islamabad. After the hearing, Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood pronounced the verdict on the acquittal plea of the accused.
The court acquitted PTI founder, Asad Qaiser, Saifullah Niazi, Sheikh Rashid, Sadaqat Abbasi, Faisal Javed, and Ali Nawaz from the case.
It is pertinent to note that a case was registered against the PTI founder and others on August 20, 2022, at Aabpara police station.
