Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has changed its statement, taking a U-turn on the decision of vacations, saying grades from kindergarten to eighth will observe summer holidays.

As per an official notification, classes from 9 to 12 will be resumed due to board exams.
According to notification, all government schools in the province will remain closed between July 1 and July 11 for students of kindergarten to class 8.
In the first declaration, KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department it was decided to give holidays to all classes including matric and intermediate.
However, matric and inter students will continue their classes for preparation of their board exams as per schedule.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the province, children were granted summer vacations from July 1 to July 11.
On the other hand, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) said summer holidays in Islamabad's schools would be observed from July 18 to first of August.
Earlier, government suggested summer vacation in all schools of the province from July 2 to Aug 2.
