Matthew Miller stated that Pakistani government should deal with the protesters with respect

Washington: The United States said that it stands with Pakistan in the war against terrorism and that protests around the world, including Pakistan, should be peaceful.
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated in a press briefing that the Pakistani government should deal with the protesters with respect, and discussed the conspiracy to kill the Sikh leader with his Indian counterpart.
The US State Department spokesperson avoided answering a question about threats to members of Donald Trump's nominated cabinet, saying that the United States wants to end the civil war in Syria through a political process.
Matthew Miller further said that Iran is supporting the Syrian president through fighters from Iraq, and the US and France are monitoring the ceasefire in Lebanon.
