Cabinet Division releases calendar for 2025 public holidays
Last public holiday of 2025 will be on December 25
Islamabad: The Cabinet Division has released a calendar of 12 public and 22 optional holidays for the year 2025.
According to the calendar, the first holiday across the country will be on February 5 for Kashmir Solidarity Day and the second holiday will be on March 23 on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
The government has declared three holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr on March 30, 31, and April 1. Labor Day will be on May 1, and Youm-e-Takbir will be on May 28.
This will be followed by the Eid-ul-Adha holidays on June 7, 8, and 9. The Ashura holidays of Muharram 9 and 10 will be on July 5 and 6. Independence Day will be celebrated on August 14.
The government has also announced a holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which is expected to be on September 5 or 6, while Iqbal Day will be on November 9.
However, the last public holiday of 2025 will be on December 25, and possibly the ‘Day After Christmas’ holiday on December 26.
