He will visit South Asia Pakistan Terminal to inaugurate FBR automated customs clearance system


Karachi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for Karachi for a one-day visit.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State Ali Pervez Malik and Coordinator for Health Dr Mukhtar Bharat are also accompanying the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister will visit the South Asia Pakistan Terminal at the Karachi Port Trust and inaugurate the Federal Bureau of Revenue’s (FBR) automated customs clearance system, the Faceless System. The system aims to bring transparency in customs clearance and reduce clearance time.
During the visit to Karachi, the Prime Minister will also visit the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), where he will attend the ceremony of the PSX being awarded the title of the second-best performing stock exchange in the world in 2024 as the chief guest.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also attend a ceremony at the Aga Khan University as the chief guest.
