Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Khwarij

Rawalpindi: Security forces have killed nine Khwarij in two separate engagements in North Waziristan District, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in the general area of Dosalli, on the reported presence of Khwarij. During the operation, the troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and resultantly, six Khwarij were sent to hell, while two Khwarij were apprehended.
Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area of Esham. After an intense fire exchange, three Khwarij were neutralised by security forces, while two Khwarij got injured.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Khwarji in the area.
The ISPR in its statement reaffirmed its determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
