Karachi: Cold weather and polluted air in Karachi are making people sick. Due to the dry and cold weather, skin diseases have increased and 3,000 to 4,000 patients are being reported to the OPD of the Skin Diseases Hospital every day.
According to the media reports, cold weather and polluted air in Karachi are making citizens sick. Due to the dry and cold weather, skin diseases have increased in the city. Thousands of cases of scabies, psoriasis, and eczema have been reported to the Skin Diseases Hospital.
Dr Abdullah Yahya, Additional Director of the Skin Diseases Hospital located on Regal in Karachi, said that 3,000 to 4,000 patients have started reporting to the OPD of the hospital every day.
He stated that due to the cold and dry weather, citizens are suffering from these diseases. The symptoms include small rashes, itching, and red spots on the skin.
Dr Abdullah added that citizens should use cold creams to keep their bodies moist. He clarified that these are not contagious or spreading diseases.
