Lahore: The severity of the cold continued in the country. After rain and snowfall, the connecting roads of northern upper Balochistan were closed to traffic.
Snowfall continued intermittently in the mountainous areas of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The connecting roads of several upper areas were also closed, and the land connection of Grace Valley was cut off due to snowfall.
The machinery and staff of the Pakistan Army and civil administration were busy opening the road from Kiel to Tao Butt. A 25-kilometer road was opened up to Helmat and the Pakistan Army provided helicopter service to evacuate patients and local people.
A team of seven doctors, including two gynecologists, was shifted to Helmat. Necessary medical assistance was provided to the people of Helmat and Tao Butt. Serious patients were moved to Kiel and Muzaffarabad according to medical needs, and a free medical camp was also organized in Sardari.
