South Africa wins toss, decides to set a target against Afghanistan


Karachi: In the third match of the Champions Trophy, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 107 runs.
The match, played at Karachi's National Stadium, saw South Africa win the toss and choose to bat first.
South Africa lost their first wicket at 28 runs, with Tony de Zorzi being dismissed for 11 runs. After that, Ryan Rickelton and Temba Bavuma steadied the innings, both scoring half-centuries.
However, Bavuma was caught off a delivery from Mohammad Nabi at a total of 157, scoring 58 runs.
Rickelton then played a brilliant knock, scoring a century and getting out for 103 runs. Wayne Parnell and Aiden Markram also batted responsibly, scoring 52 runs each before being dismissed.
South Africa finished their 50 overs with 315 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi took two wickets, while Fazal Haq Farooqi, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Noor Ahmad each took one wicket.
