Seoul: Famous Korean pop star Cho Wheesung has died of a heart attack at the age of 43.
According to foreign media reports, Korean singer and songwriter Cho Wheesung was found dead in his apartment in Seoul, South Korea, last evening.
According to The Korea Times, pop star Wheesung had a meeting with his manager last evening but could not attend it.
Later, when the singer's mother went to see him, she found him unconscious, after which he was confirmed dead when taken to the hospital.
According to reports, the cause of the pop star's death has not yet been determined, but the assumption of his death is being said to be a possible suicide or drug overdose.
Police say the pop star had been dead for some time when he was found unconscious, but there were no signs of foul play at the scene, suggesting natural causes.
Wheesung debuted in 2002 with the hit R&B album Like a Movie, which further boosted Whistling's career in the years, but his career took a sharp downturn in 2021 after he was caught illegally using a sedative, for which he was sentenced to a year in prison.
