Court issued arrest warrants for Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and others for non-appearance


Islamabad: District and Sessions Courts Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in the Haqeeqi Azadi March cases.
Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Abbas Shah heard two cases registered on PTI real Azadi March, in which the PTI founder and others are named, and none of the accused named in the case appeared in court.
The court issued arrest warrants for Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and others for non-appearance.
Arguments could not be made on the acquittal application of the accused even today. Judge Muhammad Abbas Shah said that he would hear the acquittal applications in the presence of the accused, to which the petitioner’s lawyer said that earlier in several cases, arguments were made in the absence of the PTI founder and he was acquitted.
The court adjourned the hearing of both cases till April 23.
It is pertinent to note that two cases have been registered against PTI founder and others in Kohsar police station.
