Japan took first position in Group C in third round


Tokyo: Japan became the first country to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Football World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico next year, in which 48 teams will participate.
The qualifying rounds for the mega event are currently underway in different continents.
Japan became the first to qualify for the 2026 Football World Cup by defeating Bahrain 2-0 in the qualifying round on Thursday.
Eight teams from Asia will participate, in which Japan became the first to qualify.
Japan defeated Bahrain 2-0, while it still has three matches left in the third round. Kamada and Kobo scored in the second half to give Japan victory.
With the victory, Japan took the first position in Group C in the third round.
It is pertinent to note that in the third round of qualifying, 18 teams were divided into three groups, in which the top two teams from each group will qualify for the Football World Cup.
The United States, Canada, and Mexico have already qualified for the World Cup as hosts.
