Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir extends warm Eid greetings to troops, lauds their dedication

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Monday visited Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan to celebrate Eid ul Fitr with the officers and troops stationed on the western border, a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) read.
During the visit, General Asim Munir offered Eid prayers and prayed for the lasting peace and prosperity of Pakistan. He also interacted with the soldiers, giving them warm Eid greetings and praising their dedication and service to the country.
The army chief commended the efforts of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who have been consistently fighting terrorism. He emphasized that their commitment and bravery secure the nation and show their deep love for Pakistan.
General Asim Munir also acknowledged the sacrifices of the nation's martyrs and those who work tirelessly for peace and stability. Upon his arrival, the COAS was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
