Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg ranks second with $2,016bn, followed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with $2,015bn, making him third richest person


(Web Desk): Forbes, the American magazine, has released its list of the richest people in the world for 2025, and once again, Tesla owner Elon Musk has been declared the wealthiest person globally.
Elon Musk’s wealth increased by 75% in 2024, making him the richest person in the world according to Forbes' list once again. Previously, in 2024, Bernard Arnault from France had been named the world's richest person.
In the new list, Elon Musk has claimed the title of the world's wealthiest person with a net worth of $342 billion, marking the first time anyone has held this title with such a high fortune.
According to Forbes’ 39th annual list, there are currently 3,028 billionaires around the world, the highest number in history. In the past year, 247 individuals became billionaires.
The report also stated that the total wealth of the world’s billionaires increased by $2 trillion in the past year, with the total wealth now exceeding $16 trillion.
In the list, Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg ranks second with $2,016 billion, followed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with $2,015 billion, making him the third richest person.
Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison is ranked fourth with $192 billion, followed by Bernard Arnault with $178 billion. Warren Buffet holds the sixth spot with $154 billion, while Google co-founder Larry Page ranks seventh with $144 billion, and his co-founder Sergey Brin is eighth with $138 billion.
Spain's Amancio Ortega is ranked ninth with $124 billion, while former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer ranks tenth with $118 billion.
Bill Gates, who had been the world's richest person for many years, has now fallen down the rankings, coming in 13th with $108 billion.
India’s Mukesh Ambani, with $92.5 billion, is the wealthiest person in Asia and ranks 18th globally.
The richest woman in the world is Alice Walton from the United States, with $101 billion, ranked 15th. After her, France’s Francoise Bettencourt Meyers ranks as the second richest woman with $81.6 billion.
