Property worth Rs110 million was damaged in Lahore
Islamabad: The Punjab government has submitted a report on the May 9 tragedy to the Supreme Court.
The report submitted by the provincial government states that the May 9 incidents in Punjab caused a loss of Rs197 million and property was vandalized in 38 cities of Punjab.
According to the report, property worth Rs110 million was damaged in Lahore, Rs26 million in Rawalpindi, and Rs 50 million in Mianwali.
The report states that an institution was attacked on May 9. There was no protest or rally on May 9, but an attack on an institution. 319 cases were registered in 38 districts of Punjab for these incidents. The total number of accused is 35,962, while 24,595 accused of the May 9 incidents are still absconding and 11,367 have been arrested.
