She was tortured due to suspicions regarding her character


Muzaffargarh: An eight-month pregnant woman was tortured by her husband, son, and in-laws, breaking both her legs and arms and throwing her out of the house in critical condition in Muzaffargarh.
The horrific incident took place in the Basti Arif area of Muzaffargarh's Jatoi tehsil where an eight-month pregnant woman was tortured by her husband and in-laws with axes, iron rods, and sticks.
The woman's legs and arms were broken due to the violence, and then the accused threw the injured woman out of the house into the street.
The local people informed the police, and a rescue team shifted the woman to the THQ Hospital.
According to the statement provided by the victim to the police, she was tortured due to suspicions regarding her character.
A case has been registered at the Jatoi police station against five individuals, including the woman's husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and son, following the police complaint after the woman's heirs refused to take legal action.
The police report that raids are being conducted to apprehend the suspects.
