BCCI threatens PCB after Pahalgam incident

After the attack on the tourist spot in Pahalgam district of occupied Kashmir, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued an important statement regarding the India-Pakistan series.

India and Pakistan last faced each other in a bilateral series in the 2012 and 2013 seasons, and India last visited Pakistan in the Asia Cup in 2008.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, after the attack in Pahalgam, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla announced his decision on India facing Pakistan in bilateral cricket.

Rajiv Shukla said that they will not play Pakistan in any bilateral series in the future.

The BCCI Vice President further said that they are with the victims and condemn this incident. They will do whatever the government says. Due to the government's stance, we do not play bilateral series with Pakistan, and we will not play further bilateral series with Pakistan.

Rajiv Shukla stated that when it comes to the International Cricket Council (ICC) events, we play because of the ICC. It also knows what is happening and will react to it.

It is pertinent to note that 26 people were killed and a dozen injured in a firing incident at a tourist spot in Pahalgam district of occupied Kashmir 3 days ago.

India's Hindu extremist government yesterday, without investigating the Pahalgam incident, blamed Pakistan and suspended the Indus Waters Treaty for the sharing of river water, which was reached in 1960 under the mediation of the World Bank.
