India admits damage to military bases

Pakistan launched Operation ‘Bunyan-ul-Marsoos’ in response to Indian missile and drone strikes on three Pakistani air bases. It is also reported that India has suffered heavy casualties and material losses, after which the Indian army said in a confessional statement that the Pakistani army had targeted 26 locations, including air bases.

Colonel Sofia Qureshi said in a press briefing that Pakistan had carried out ‘several dangerous’ operations on India’s western border. According to her, Pakistan targeted military installations with various types of weapons, including drones and long-range weapons, while attacking air force targets along the Line of Control with drones and heavy weapons.

The Indian Army spokesperson stated that Pakistan's attacks caused severe damage to India. Pakistan targeted Udhampur and Pathankot, and the air base station in Punjab was also damaged.

During a press briefing regarding the Pakistani attack, Colonel Sofia Qureshi said that Pakistan targeted the Punjab air base at 1:40am on Saturday with a high-speed missile.

It is also reported that India's losses include the destruction of the Russian-made state-of-the-art S-400 missile defense system, four air bases, five airfields, two Brahmos missile storage sites, a terrorist camp, brigade headquarters, supply depot, artillery gun position, and several military posts on the Line of Control.

There are also reports of an Indian Rafale aircraft and a large Indian drone being shot down near Sialkot, however, it is not confirmed yet.

There have also been reports of Pakistani drones in the skies over Delhi and Gujarat. Indian news agencies ANI and TV9 have also confirmed some of the attacks, including smoke rising from Udhampur airbase and the sound of explosions at Sirsa airfield. Indian media has also acknowledged attacks on Pathankot, Poonch, and Jammu airbases.

Pakistan used Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 missiles in this operation, which are equipped with modern navigation systems and are capable of hitting enemy targets with extreme accuracy. Videos released by the army showed these missiles being fired.

The Indian media and government initially denied the attacks by Pakistan and, to throw dust in the eyes of their people, spread rumors that India had destroyed several Pakistani F-16 aircraft and attacked various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

Now, statements issued by the Indian Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of External Affairs have admitted that Pakistan used a high-speed missile to target an air base in Punjab.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that it is closely monitoring the current situation between Pakistan and India, and that they should make efforts to reduce tensions and take steps for peace in the region.
