‘Any changes to the regulations will be made only after consulting the stakeholders’

(Web Desk): The federal government has decided that any changes to net metering regulations will be made in consultation with stakeholders.
A key meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Power Division, Awais Leghari, to discuss net metering regulations.
According to the report, representatives from the Solar Association, provincial governments, and other relevant stakeholders participated in the meeting. The suggestions provided by stakeholders were thoroughly reviewed during the session.
It was decided that any changes to the regulations will be made only after consulting the stakeholders.
Federal Minister Awais Leghari stated that the government will not harm any business, and any changes to the regulations will be made with consumer protection in mind.
He further said that stakeholder concerns regarding the protection of the national grid will also be taken into consideration.
