Goat population sees a significant rise of 2.358 million, increasing from 87.035m to 89.393m


(Web Desk): According to documents from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the number of donkeys in the country has increased by 109,000 over the past year. As a result, the total donkey population has risen from 5.938 million to 6.047 million.
The document also states that the buffalo population grew by 1.378 million during the same period, bringing the total from 46.31 million to 47.688 million.
Similarly, the number of sheep increased by 388,000, taking the total from 32.731 million to 33.119 million. The goat population saw a significant rise of 2.358 million, increasing from 87.035 million to 89.393 million.
The camel population grew by 14,000, rising from 1.163 million to 1.177 million. Additionally, the number of horses increased by 1,000 and mules by 3,000, bringing their totals to 383,000 and 227,000 respectively.
The document also highlights that the cattle population increased by 2.171 million, growing from 57.54 million to 59.711 million over the course of the year.
